a little bit of street art

The one thing I loved more than anything about Miami and the surrounding area was that is was so colorful!  Everywhere you looked there was an amazing mural or a building that changed colors.  During the day the art had the spotlight but at night the lights shone over the water and rippled through the city.  It made even the smallest things more beautiful!

I tried to snap shots of a few of my favorite pieces of street art in Downtown Hollywood during an afternoon walk with Vlad, but there were so many amazing pieces all over the city that I couldn't even see them all!  So here's a few pretty things to kick off your weekend!

Downtown Concord : Part 2

For a small city, Concord has so many interesting corners to explore!  I gave you an overview of Downtown Concord's "Main Street" in my last post, so now I have a more specific place to share with you. Tucked behind the main row of shops and restaurants, is this beautiful pastel mural, covering three sides of this building.  I've seen this mural dozens of times, but never realized quite how detailed it was, with all the pipes and even the air conditioner completely incognito.  These photos, taken on such a clear and beautiful day, came out stunning!  The mural mainly adds atmosphere to a parking lot for shoppers enjoyment with a peak into the way Concord must have looked around the time it was first developing, but for me it's one of the small pieces that adds to Concord's charm!  It's a piece of home.
