North Carolina Snow Day

Living in the piedmont of North Carolina, half way between the mountains and the beach, we hardly ever get snow!  But when we do, we almost always get a snow day, since it's a rare occasion, we don't really properly prepare for any inclement weather.  I spent my free day with Vlad and his pup Stewart cozied up on the couch with hot chocolate and Netflix.  I couldn't really have asked for a better snow day!  However, I did manage a few minutes outside to walk around in the snow and take a some pictures of the fleeting  moment (as of course the snow was melting as soon as the sun rose).  I was fascinated by the icicles and was amazed at capturing the bubbles inside!  I hope you enjoy these wintery pictures, since they don't come around very often for me!

Also, I just want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by from yesterday's blog hop! I can't wait to look at some of your amazing blogs!  I'm so grateful for all the support I've gotten and look forward to meeting you all!

  11. I have been feeling rather drab as of late, and these beautiful photos reminded me how amazing winter really is when I take the time to enjoy the details...icicles, snowflakes, and the like. I'm so glad to have discovered your lovely blog...and to be following along.
