Living in the piedmont of North Carolina, half way between the mountains and the beach, we hardly ever get snow! But when we do, we almost always get a snow day, since it's a rare occasion, we don't really properly prepare for any inclement weather. I spent my free day with Vlad and his pup Stewart cozied up on the couch with hot chocolate and Netflix. I couldn't really have asked for a better snow day! However, I did manage a few minutes outside to walk around in the snow and take a some pictures of the fleeting moment (as of course the snow was melting as soon as the sun rose). I was fascinated by the icicles and was amazed at capturing the bubbles inside! I hope you enjoy these wintery pictures, since they don't come around very often for me!
Also, I just want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by from yesterday's blog hop! I can't wait to look at some of your amazing blogs! I'm so grateful for all the support I've gotten and look forward to meeting you all!

I have been feeling rather drab as of late, and these beautiful photos reminded me how amazing winter really is when I take the time to enjoy the details...icicles, snowflakes, and the like. I'm so glad to have discovered your lovely blog...and to be following along.
