A Love Letter From Einstein

It's that time again:  here's another love letter from Einstein!  This month he's been very curious about light, he chases prisms,  flecks of light, and shadows!  He's become a little obsessed to say the least.  He's also been very helpful in the kitchen, even though he knows he's not supposed to be in there, and especially not on the counter!  But he was too cute, I at least had to snap a photo before shooing him away.

With all of our February creations, we've been working in the studio a lot recently!  He's very artistic, so when he's not playing with scrap pieces or laying on my project, he's supervising from above, where he can lay amongst my paintbrushes and feathers.  He constantly has to be on eye level with people, so instead of laying next to me, most of the time he's sitting across from me or on the next chair over where he can watch me.  It's only when I turn all the lights off that he'll come up and cuddle with me, laying his head on my shoulder with his paws stretched across my chest.

Christmas at Our House

I hope everyone's Christmas was happy and joyful!   Einstein and I wanted to share a bit of our family Christmas with you and yours!  It's our tradition on Christmas Eve to have shrimp, cheese and sausage  for dinner.  We also have a bit of seasonal wine and just spend time watching movies as a family at home. Of course this time of year there's only one place you'll find Einstein: behind the Christmas tree, I mean it's not every day you get to have a bit of nature indoors!

Christmas morning we sleep in and open our presents together, telling stories of how we came across them or explain how something works.  All the puppies got new bones and even Einstein got a new toy and fresh treats!  We spent the rest of the day watching a Christmas story and taking extensive naps, which is a holiday treat indeed!  So all in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas break at home for the holiday and with lots of love from Einstein, we now wish you a Happy New Year!

Cranberries and Turkey

I hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving filled with family, fun, and a bit of relaxation!  In the spirit of the festivities, here's a bit of my Thanksgiving celebrations!  There's only three of us, so we enjoy spending the weekend together, watching movies, telling stories and playing with our animals.  My Dad's favorite part of the feast is always the cranberry sauce, and with the holiday season just beginning here's a recipe to share, from my family to all of yours!

Mom's Cranberry Sauce
1 cup Apple Juice
1 1/2 cups Sugar
1 package (12oz) Frozen Cranberries
2 Granny Smith Apples (cored and coarsely chopped)
1/2 cup Golden Raisins
2 tbs. Crystallized Ginger, chopped
1/2 tsp. Allspice

In saucepan over medium-high heat, bring apple juice and sugar to a boil.  Add cranberries; reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes or until berries pop.  Stir in remaining ingredients; cook 5 minutes or until apples are tender.  Chill and Enjoy!

A Post From Einstein

Hey Guys!  It is time for another post from Einstein!  He's been very good lately, helping my with the laundry and making sure the bed is made. haha.  Recently his new favorite spot is in the bath tub.  At my last apartment we had a stand-in shower, but now we have a full size bath tub!   I'm pretty sure he thinks its a whole new room for him to play in!  He especially likes to sit on the edge of the tub between the shower curtain and liner, just sitting in his own little space (of course thinking he is in complete disguise and hidden from sight, except for the fact that I have a sheer curtain, haha!), and last night I found him licking the water off the plastic!  He's also learned how to open the bathroom cabinet door where he can find my hair ties to play with!  So here are a few snapshots of Einstein from the past two weeks or so!  Hope you find them as adorable as I do!
